We are a married couple living in the Raleigh area and sadly working in non-food related jobs. We are going to use this blog mainly to talk about the food and drink that we experience in the Raleigh. We’ll also get to the nitty gritty of Raleigh food and the best places to buy the building blocks of a good meal. If you want to contact us you can at rdugyet@gmail.com.
Becca likes:
-a good roasted piece of asparagus
-seared tuna with a cool center
-the crackling burnt bits of a crème brulee
-the charred bit of a bbq rib
-food writers with snark
-Taco Bell when I’m drunk
Becca hates:
-steak that’s been cooked to death
-the same food done the same way that tastes the same way (local Mexican chains, I’m looking at you!)
restaurants that care more about image than taste
-lack of etiquette at nice restaurants (take that baseball hat off!)
-Taco Bell when I’m sober
Matt likes:
-Cheese, cheese, more cheese
-the squiggly legs of a squid
-paté and livery stuff (because I’m pompous)
-Beer of all kinds (even PBR and Schlitz)
-lamb, particularly freshly butchered from my Uncle’s farm
-Salted fish, like Herring and Anchovies, because of my Viking background
Matt hates:
-Brussel Sprouts (who doesn’t)
-Sickly sweet wine
-KFC, why would anybody love it so much?
-Pushy waitstaff that hurries you through a meal
-Mushy winter squash, yuck
I have toyed around with the idea to start putting down on paper my heavenly episodes and utter catastrophes that has been my dining experience in Raleigh. What would be the best advice you can give someone, where to start, the best way to get your word out there? Anything helps!!
I think its important is to write like you don’t expect people to read it. It frees you up and helps keep our opinions good and honest. Utilizing social media is a good way to expand your horizons, we’ve met so many other foodbloggers in Raleigh by being on Twitter and going to places like foodbuzz.
Most importantly, just have fun. The minute you start imposing ridiculous goals or beatingyourself up over posts, the minute it becomes a chore instead of soemhing creative.

Hi, we would like to invite you to a culinary event early next month. Can you please provide an email address so that we can send you an invitation.
Thanks
Wow, I thought that was visible. It’s rdugyet@gmail.com.
Love your blog! I have one that focuses on my dining experiences all across the Triangle. Keep up the good work! So little time, so many great restaurants to review…
Hey! Love your blog too, Tony and I haven’t really delved into Cary’s food, so I’ll be interested in what you run across.

Love your blog! Came across it a few weeks ago. I’ve been living in Raleigh for almost 7 years and didn’t realize we had so much! Thanks
