Triangle Tweet-up: Six Plates

There’s a ton of reasons Tony and I loved the semi-monthly Triangle Tweet-up. We get to see friends, make some new ones, and get to try food at new and interesting places around the area. This month’s tweet-up was no exception, I’ve been dying to go to Six Plates (2812 Erwin Road, Durham, NC 27705) and the combination of food and friends made it a great night and a very much needed break from all of the holiday prep. Top chef Season 7, Episode 13: Showdown in Singapore

This season’s finale seemed to come out of nowhere; it seems like just yesterday, I was being grossed out by chef John’s nasty long dreadlocks, and now we’re at part one of the finale. Don’t Skip Skipper’s Fish Fry


Skippers (1001 E. Williams St., Apex, NC) is a place that we heard great things about online and we decided we had to check out for ourselves.  After being rather disappointed by the fried fish at the Farmer’s Market, Julia and I were looking for a great place where we could sit down and have a tasty fried fish sandwich.  We also have not explored much of the Apex area as far as food goes, so we thought this would be a great opportunity to explore our reach a little bit.
